With a focus on continuous improvements, quality management and lean processes we are currently certified to ISO 9001:2015. Our Quality Management System has matured over the years and our goals remain centered around our customers.
We offer a number of diverse in-house capabilities, including metal stamping, wire and tubing cut-off and bending, thread rolling, barrel and rack zinc plating, rack nickel-chrome plating, powder coating, heat treating, resistance welding and MIG welding, assembling, packaging, warehouse facilities, as well as engineering, die design and die building.
Our history can be traced back to 1905 when Ewald and Herman Pawsat first started the Wald Cycle Company in Sheboygan Wisconsin with the invention of a bicycle tire repair tool. With great aspirations for their business they expanded their bicycle line of products and in 1924 moved to a more central location, Maysville, Kentucky. The business continued to grow along with the bicycle industry, and a 300,000 square foot complex was built. Wald Cycle Company became Wald Manufacturing Company.
During World War II, Wald was honored by the U.S. Armed Forces with their prestigious "E" Award for our ability to produce munitions reliably and efficiently. Like many companies during that time, Wald did whatever we could to help our troops.
After the war, Wald continued to produce bicycle parts for leading American bicycle manufacturers such as Schwinn, Huffy, Murray and Roadmaster. During this time Wald was producing millions of parts annually for bikes and acquiring numerous patents for innovative ways to manufacture these parts.
Since then Wald has expanded to include products for other industries as well as the bicycle industry and changed our name to Wald LLC. We now use our diverse in-house capabilities to meet the needs of customers in the Automotive, Bicycle, Commercial and Industrial global markets.
Currently Wald strives to maintain our most valuable competitive advantage - our dedication to quality. We are still a family owned and operated company and can proudly claim 'Made in America' on all our products. None of this would be possible however, if not for the commitment and pride of our employees. The long and successful run Wald has enjoyed is due directly to the hard work and commitment the people at Wald provide every day. We believe you will recognize the commitment in the quality of every Wald product you see and use.
When you purchase or use our products, you too become an integral part of our legacy. Thank you for your interest in our products.
